Notes:
This skirt was easy and enjoyable to make and it didn’t take long time to make it. The body of the skirt was made in the rectangle and sides were closed after the body part was done. The band part was continued in the round.. Increases and decreases were done equally in the body part so the skirt went straight up and some decreases were done on the band part. Written detailed instructions are below.

Row 1: P2, RLI, *K7, S2KPO, K7, M1O, K1, M1O, K7. Rep. from * until 2 sts left. LLI, P last 2 sts.
Row 2: K2, P until last 2 sts, K last 2 sts.
Row 1- 78 Rep. Rows 1 and 2. [about 18 inc (45 cm)]
After sewing the side, now continue to knit in a round for the band. At this part, I recommend to use SM for the beginning because the knitting will continue in a round.
Round 1 of the band: k all sts. 183 sts.
Round 2: *K1, P1. Rep. from * until the end.
Round 3: *K1, P1. Rep. from * until the end.
Round 4: *(K1, P1)x 10, p2tog. Rep. from * until the end. 165 sts.
Round 5: *(K1, P1)x 10, p2tog. Rep. from * until the end. 150 sts.
Round 6: *K1, P1. Rep. from * until the end. 150 sts.
Round 7: *(K1, P1)x 15, p2tog. Rep. from * until the end. 140 sts.
Round 8: *(K1, P1)x 15, p2tog. Rep. from * until the end. 130 sts.
Round 9: *K1, P1. Rep. from * until the end. 130 sts.
Round 10: BO all sts. Weave the ends.
Done with the skirt!
Make sure to always measure your own body, especially when you make the decreases on the band. Measure yourself every-time when you do the decrease to make sure it fits you.
