Short version (shown): 22cm deep x 90 cm long

Long version: 22cm deep x 180cm long

Yarn: King Cole Merino Blend 4ply, shades (A) 771 Kingfisher, 3 (6) 50g (180m) balls, (B) 46 Aran, 3 (6) 50g (180m) balls

Needles: 2.5mm circular, 3mm circular, 100 (160) cm

Crochet hook (for cast on)

Smooth waste yarn (for cast on)

Stitch marker

Tension Square 32 sts x 40 rows = 10cm x 10cm pattern stitch 3mm needles

NOTE: when working the single colour sections at the folding points and beg and end of piece, work using only one strand, as this will reduced the bulk at these points

Using 2.5mm circular needle, yam A and provisional cast on (see Knitwise) cast on 276 (552) sts, join into the rnd taking care not to twist, pm for beg of rnd

Rnds 1-6: k

Change to 3mm circular needle

Rnds 7-18: work Rows 1-12 from Chart A, rep Chart 23 (46) times across row

Work five more reps of Chart A

Change to 2.5mm circular needle and yarn A

Change to 3mm circular needle

TO MAKE UP

Place provisional cast-on sts onto 2.5mm circular needle. With WS facing fold at p line

Cast off using three needle cast off.
