    Light Weight (3): 100% acrylic; 0.35oz/10g; 28yd/26m.
  • Size US3 (3.25 mm) Knitting Needles (4 dpns)
  • Stitch Marker
  • Yarn Needle
  • Tiny amount of fiberfill
  • 2 Tiny black beads
  • Sewing thread

Size:2 ¾” long x 1-2″ wide

Gauge:
7 stitches x 9 rows = 1″ x 1″
Not critical for this design.

Seahorse Pattern:Worked in the round using short rows. Stuff with fiberfill as you go.

With yarn and US 3 needles, cast on 4 stitches.
Round 1-2(work as i-cord): knit (4)
Round 3: k1, kfb twice, k1 (6)
Distribute stitches evenly onto 3 needles.
Round 4: knit
Round 5: k1, kfb, k2, kfb, k1 (8)
Round 6(work as short rows): k2, kfb, k1, M1, kfb, w&t; p 7, w&t; k5, w&t; p3, w&t; k to end. (11)
Round 7: knit
Round 8(work as short rows): k2, k2tog, k3, k2tog, w&t; k5, w&t; k3, w&t; p1, w&t; k to end. (9)

Round 27: knit
Round 28-31: Repeat rounds 26 & 27 twice.

Pull tail through remaining stitches and pull tight. FO. Shape tail to curve. Sew eyes to head.

Fin:
Between bottom 2 ridges (rounds 17-20) at the back of the seahorse’s body, pick up 4 stitches.
Row 1: *k1, p1* repeat twice.
Row 2: kfb, p1, k1, kfb (6)
Row 3: *p1, k1* repeat 3 times.
Bind off in *p1, k1* pattern.
FO. Weave in tail.
