YOU WILL NEED

Red Heart Luster Sheen fine yarn, 100% acrylic (281m per 100g)

1 x 100g ball in Lime (620)

1 x 5mm circular knitting needle (75cm long)

TENSION

15 sts and 33 rounds to 10cm (4in) over lace patt on 5mm needles.

Use larger or smaller needles if necessary to obtain correct tension.

BAG

Straps (make 2)

Using 5mm circular needle cast on 60 sts. Knit 4 rows. Cast off.

Top Band

Round 1: Pick up and knit 6 sts along narrow side edge of one strap, cast on 24 sts, pick up and knit 6 sts along opposite narrow side edge of strap, cast on 24 sts, pick up and knit 6 sts along narrow side edge of 2nd strap, cast on 24 sts, pick up and knit 6 sts along opposite narrow side edge of same strap, cast on 24 sts. Join in the round, being careful not to twist the sts (120 sts).

Round 2: Purl.

Round 3: Knit.

Round 4: Purl.

Round 5: Knit.

Round 6: Purl.

Round 7: Knit.

Body

Round 1: *K3, yo, sl2, k1, psso, yo; rep from * to end of round.

Round 2: Knit.

Round 3: *Yo, sl2, k1, psso, yo, k3; rep from * to end of round.

Round 4: Knit.

Rounds 5 to 76: Rep Rounds 1 to 4, 18 more times.

Round 77: *Sl2, k1, psso, yo, sl2, k1, psso, yo; rep from * to end of round (80 sts).

Round 78: Knit.

Round 79: *Yo, sl2, k1, psso, yo, k1; rep from * to end of round.

Round 80: Knit. Round 81: *Yo, k1, yo, sl2, k1, psso; rep from * to end of round.

Rounds 82 to 97: Rep Rounds 78 to 81 four more times.

Round 98: *K2tog; rep from * to end of round (40 sts).

Round 99: Knit.

Round 100: *K2tog; rep from * to end of round (20 sts).

Round 101: Knit. Round 102: *K2tog; rep from * to end of round (10 sts).

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Weave through remaining sts, pull tight and secure.
