Katia Cotton Comfort yarn (84% cotton, 16% polyamide; 50 g/150 m): 50 g each of No. 24 light green, No. 14 turquoise, No. 13 blue, and No. 12 lilac; a small amount of black and white yarn
Synthetic filler for stuffing
No. 4 ADDI needles
Back piece of the fish pillow: follow chart 1.
Front piece of the fish pillow: follow chart 2.
Fins: follow chart 3.
Knitting gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 23 sts x 32 rows in stockinette stitch with No. 4 needles.
Work Description
Back piece: begin knitting from the fish's tail. With No. 4 needles and light green yarn, cast on 20 sts and work in stockinette stitch following chart 1.
Front piece: begin knitting from the fish's tail. With No. 4 needles and light green yarn, cast on 20 sts and work in stockinette stitch following chart 2.
Fins: with No. 4 needles and turquoise yarn, cast on 31 sts and work in stockinette stitch following chart 3. Make a total of 4 pieces.
Assembly: on the front piece, embroider the eye with satin and stem stitches following chart 2. Sew the back and front pieces together and stuff the pillow with synthetic filler. Sew together 2 fin pieces, stuff with synthetic filler, and attach 1.5 cm from the tail (see photo).
