This is narrow cat’s paw lace, the pattern repeat is 7 stitches (10 repeats total), plus one edge stitch on each side.

With only one edge stitch on each side, the edges roll just a bit, making a sort of fake i-cord edging (sort of). If you don’t want a rolled edge, you can add a few more stitches to the edges and knit them in garter stitch (knit every row). If you do that, you should consider eliminating one pattern repeat (7 stitches) to accommodate the extra stitches and keep roughly the same overall width.

The first stitch of each row is slipped purlwise, with the yarn in front, then move the yarn between the needles to the back (without wrapping over the needles).
