Instructions
Shawl
With A and using long-tail cast on, cast on 3 sts.
Rows 1-10: Knit.
Turn work 90 degrees clockwise; pick up and knit 5 sts along edge (1 st for each garter ridge); turn work 90 degrees clockwise again and pick up 3 sts along original cast on edge – 11 sts.

Row 4 (Inc): Kfbf, [kfb] 4 times, kfbf, [kfb] 4 times, kfbf – 24 sts. - Segment 2
Rows 1-7: Knit.
Row 8 (Inc): Kfb in each st across – 48 sts. - Segment 3
Rows 1-15: Knit.
Row 16 (Inc): Kfb in each st across – 96 sts. - Segment 4
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2 (Inc): [K9, kfb] 9 times, knit to end –105 sts. - Slip-Stitch Blocks
Cut A. Join B.
Rows 1 & 3 (Right Side): Knit.
Row 2 (Wrong Side): Purl.
Row 4: P3, P3 wrapping yarn around needle twice, *p9, p3 wrapping yarn around needle twice; repeat from * to last 3 sts, p3.
Join C, but do not cut B. Carry B along the side of your work while working rows in C.
Rows 5 & 7:With C, k3, slip 3 purlwise, *k9, slip 3 purlwise; repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Rows 6 & 8: With C, k3, bring yarn to front of work, slip 3 purlwise, *bring yarn to back of work, k9, bring yarn to front of work, slip 3 purlwise; repeat from * to last 3 sts, bring yarn to back of work, k3. Cut C.
Rows 9 & 11 (Right Side): With B, knit.
Row 10 (Wrong Side): Purl.

Cut C. Join B.
