Tension Square: 15 sts x 18 rows = 10cm x 10cm stocking stitch 6mm needles

Using 6mm needles and yarn A, cast on 28 sts

Beg with a k row, work 54 rows in st st

Wind a separate bobbin of yarn A

Using 6mm needles and main ball of yarn A, cast on 28 sts

Rows 1-6: beg with a k row, work in st st

Row 7: k2, k2tog, k to last four sts, ssk, k2. 26 sts

Join in yarn B, use yarn from both ends of yarn B and small bobbin of yarn A as folls:

Row 9: using yarn tail from outside of yarn B, k5, using bobbin of yarn A, k16, using yarn tail from centre of yarn B, k5

Cast off kwise

TO MAKE UP

Using oddment of black DK, embroider eyes in chain stitch.

Place Face and Head underside pieces with RS together and oversew around sides. Turn Head right way out and join top edges using mattress stitch. Fold Ear pieces so RS are together, oversew sides leaving lower edges open.

Turn right way out, oversew along lower edge and stitch Ears in position. Join side seams and lower edges of main cosy. Oversew top of head to top edge of back of main cosy. Sew on button for nose. Sew top of snap fastener under button and corresponding part to front of cosy. Weave in ends.
