You will need
- Stylecraft Special DK (100% acrylic, 295m/100g), 1 ball of each:
- Yarn A Lipstick (1246)
- Yarn C White (1001)
- Yarn D Camel (1420)
- Yarn E Dark Brown (1004)
- A pair of 4mm needles
- Two 4mm double-pointed needles (DPNs) for i-cord
- Toy stuffing
- Small amount of black yarn for embroidery
- Striped ribbon, 2m
- 4 split rings
Cast on 3 sts using 4mm needles and Yarn D.
Row 1 and all wrong side rows through to Row 17 Purl.
Row 2 *Kfb; rep from * to end. [6 sts]
Row 4 *K1, kfb; rep from * to end. [9 sts]
Row 6 *K2, kfb; rep from * to end. [12 sts]
Row 8 *K3, kfb; rep from * to end. [15 sts]
Row 10 *K4, kfb; rep from * to end. [18 sts]
Row 12 *K5, kfb; rep from * to end. [21 sts]
Row 14 *K6, kfb; rep from * to end. [24 sts]
Row 16 *K7, kfb; rep from * to end. [27 sts]
Row 18 Knit.
Row 19 Knit (creating ridge).
Break Yarn D and join Yarn C.
Rows 20 to 27 Beg on a RS knit row, work in st st.
Row 28 K1, *k2tog; rep from * to end [14 sts]
Row 29 *P2tog; rep from * until end of row. [7 sts]
Break yarn and thread rem sts. Pull together but do not fully secure until making up.
Flake Topping
Cast on 5 sts using 4mm needles and Yarn E.
Rows 1 to 4 Beg on a WS purl row, work in st st.
Cast off.
Making up your ice creamknitted keychain
Gather up the cast-on stitches and sew on the wrong side up the row edges to the cast-off stitches, pulling the cinched stitches open.
Turn right side out through the opening and stuff firmly, then tighten and secure the cast-off stitches.
Sew the row edges of the Flake Topping together, and sew the Flake to the top of the Ice Cream.
