Knitted Dainty Bells

Yarn required for each bell is about 6 yards worsted weight 4-ply
a bead or bell for ‘clapper’
Size 8 standard knitting needles (I used size 5)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 6 sts.
Row 1: K across
Row 2: SL. ST as to K. K 5 (mark SL ST end)
Row 3 through 17: Repeat rows 1 and 2, end on SL ST end. Bind off. Do NOT cut yarn.
Pick up 1 ST along edge opposite SL ST, 19 STS.
Row 1: (Wrong side) K
Row 2: P
Row 3: K
Bind off in P. Fasten off leaving about 18-inches yarn. Thread needle and back stitch so seam will not pucker. Pull needle through SL STs and draw together. Fasten securely. Thread bead or bell and attach to inside of bell.
