Materials: 150 yds. worsted wt. or heavy worsted wt. yarn Size 10 needles Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge: Not critical for this scarf.
Stitches/Terms: bind off (BO), cast on (CO), knit (K), purl (P), stitch (st), stockinette stitch (st st) Garter stitch: Knit every row. Stockinette stitch : Knit 1 row, purl 1 row.

Cast on 15 sts. Work the garter st section: Knit 20 rows (10 ridges) Work the stockinette st section: Row 1 (right side): Knit across. Row 2 (wrong side): Knit 3 (for border), purl 9, knit 3 (for border). Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until 16 rows have been worked in stockinette st. Continue to alternate garter st section with stockinette st section until scarf desired length, or until yarn is almost gone, reserving enough to finish with garter st section and bind-off row. Bind off and weave in tails.
