Supplies Needed:
- 5.5 mm (US 9) straight knitting needles
- Worsted Weight (weight 4) yarn in Red, White, and Green

Newborn Size Bonnet Pattern
This first pattern will be for the newborn sized bonnet. It will fit sizes approximately 0-6 months.
If you’re interested in the toddler size, I’ll include that afterwards!
Bobble for this pattern: KFB into the same stitch 4 times, lift second through eighth stitch over the first stitch so one stitch remains.
With 5.5mm knitting needles and GREEN worsted weight yarn, cast on 60 stitches.

Cast off all stitches. Use a tapestry needle to sew the back of the head all the way to where your garter stitch edging is on the bonnet.
To create the ties: Cast on 60 stitches with your green yarn, knit 3 rows, and then cast off. The ties are sewn onto the bonnet with a tapestry needle.
Toddler Sized Bonnet Pattern
The toddler size for this bonnet will fit approximately 12 months – 3T.
Bobble for this pattern: KFB into the same stitch 4 times, lift second through eighth stitch over the first stitch so one stitch remains.
With 5.5 mm knitting needles and worsted weight yarn, cast on 70 stitches in GREEN.
