Weight Category – DK. Quantity – 60 grams. If you have difficulty to find aforementioned brand of yarn, use something else that will have about 170 m (185 yards) per 100 grams skein.
Summer knit bucket hat size:
Head circumference: Child – 3/4 yo: 49-50 cm (19-20”)
Gauge: 20-21 stitches = 10 cm (4 inch)
2 sts – 1 cm
50 cm * 2 = 100 sts. Reduce by 25% (to make the hat fit better)= 75 sts
The final number of stitches must be a multiple of 8. The nearest multiple of 8 to 75 is 72 stitches.
For the ruffle, double the final number of stitches: 72 * 2 = 144 stitches.
