You will need:
- Yellow DK yarn (less than a ball)
- Black DK yarn (even less)
- Headband (With teeth as pictured preferably)
- Darning needle
- 4mm needles
Pikachu Ear Pattern – Make 2
Cast on 2 stitches in black.
- Knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch (6 stitches)
- Purl row
- Knit 1, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 2, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 1 (10 stitches)
- Purl row
- Knit 2, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 4, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 2 (14 stitches)
- Purl row
- Knit 3, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 6, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 3 (18 stitches)
- Purl row
- Knit 4, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 8, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 4 (22 stitches)
- Purl Row
- Change to yellow yarn. Knit whole row.
- Purl row.
- Knit 5, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 10, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 5 (26 stitches)
- Purl row
- Knit 6, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 12, knit front, yarn over, knit back of the stitch, knit 6 (30 stitches)
- Purl row
Rows 17-27 Knit all even numbered rows, purl all odd numbered rows.
Row 28. Cast off row: Knit 2 together, knit 2 together, pass stitch over (casting off). Continue casting off by knitting 2 together and passing stitch over for the rest of the row.
Fold the ears in half. Stitch up the side of the ears using your darning needle. Using the yarn tails, stitch the ears to your headband as shown.
