Use 100% cotton with 3.75 mm or US 5 needles. (I use a smaller needle to make a tighter stitch so the dishcloth doesn’t stretch out as much when it’s wet.)

Instructions:

Cast on 38 sts.

Rows 1-4: Knit

Rows 5-8: K3, *K4P4* to last 3 sts, K3

Rows 9-12: K3, *P4K4* to last 3 sts, K3

Repeat rows 5-12 five times.

Rows 52-55: Repeat Rows 5-8

Rows 56-59: Knit

Cast off.
