Materials:
size 8 knitting needles, 1 ball solid color cotton yarn, row counter, 2 stitch markers.
Notes:
slip the first stitch
slip markers as you come to them.
Cast on 37.
Twisted Stitch (ts 2): skip 1 stitch, but DO NOT remove it from the left hand needle, knit the next stitch, the new loop is on the right hand needle, now knit the first stitch that you skipped, it is now on the right hand needle and just let the two stitches on the left hand needle drop.
Row 1: K 3, place marker, knit across row to last 3 stitches, place marker, k 3.
Rows 2 & 3: knit
Now start pattern rows.
Row 1: k 3, sm, * k 1, ts 2, repeat row * across row, end with k 1, sm k 3.
Row 2: k 3, sm, purl across row to next marker, sm, k 3.
Repeat pattern rows until 41 rows are completed, ending with row 1.
Knit 3 rows. Bind off, work thread ends in.
