Yarn: less than 1 skein of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease Needle: size 8 straight needles Notions: tapestry needle and a toggle button.

Cast on 3 stitches. Rows 1 & 2: Knit - 3 stitches Row 3: K1, yo, K1, yo, K1 - 5 stitches Continue 5 rows in basic lace pattern (see at right) Row 9: K1, yo, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K1 – 7 stitches Continue 5 rows in basic lace pattern Row 15: K1, yo, *K2tog, yo*, repeat **,K1, yo, K1 9 stitches Continue 5 rows in basic lace pattern Row 21: K1, yo, *K2tog, yo*, repeat ** 2 times, K1, yo, K1. 11 stitches Continue 5 rows in basic lace pattern Row 27: K1, yo, *K2tog, yo*, repeat ** 3 times, K1, yo, K1. 13 stitches Continue in lace pattern till piece measures 14” End with a K2tog, yo row. Next row: K1, K2tog, Knit to last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1. 11 stitches
