Materials:

  • 1 skein of cotton yarn, Hot Pink or any solid color is recommended. I used Knit Picks Shine – “Macaw”
  • #6 US Knitting Needle.

Notes: K2Tog: Knit 2 stitches together

SSK: Slip 1, Slip 1, Knit 2 together 

Cast on: Multiple of 9 + 4 / (27 + 4 = 31 + 6 Border = 37) 37 stitches

Border:

Rows 1-4: Knit across.

Pattern:

Row 1: Purl across.

Row 2: Purl across.

Row 3: Purl across.

Row 4: (RS) K5, *YO, K2, K2Tog, SSK, K2, YO, K1; repeat from * to last 5; K5.

Row 5: Purl across.

Row 6: K5, *K1, YO, K2, K2Tog, SSK, K2, YO; repeat from * to last 5: K5.

Repeat rows 3-6 till desired length, I repeated 9 more times.

Border:

Rows 1-4: Knit across.

Bind off and weave in ends.
