Knitting instructions:
You will need: "Baby Caprice" yarn (60% merino wool, 40% fiber, 225 m/50 g) - pink and remnants of white colors, size 1 needles, synthetic filler, beads.
Stockinette stitch: knit stitches on the right side rows, purl stitches on the wrong side rows.
Work description:
Back legs and body: With pink yarn, cast on 24 sts, knit as follows: slip 1 st (edge st), 12 sts in cable stitch according to the pattern, 11 sts in stockinette stitch. Work like this for 20 rows, then set aside. Knit the second leg symmetrically.
Combine the details and continue knitting as one fabric, continuing the cable pattern as drawn for another 26 rows. Bind off the stitches. Seam the detail, stuffing it with synthetic filler.
Front legs: Cast on 20 sts with pink yarn, knit 26 rows in stockinette stitch. Bind off the stitches. Seam the detail, stuffing it with synthetic filler.
Head: With pink yarn, cast on 30 sts, knit as follows: slip 1 st (edge st), 8 sts in stockinette stitch, 12 sts in cable stitch according to the pattern, 9 sts in stockinette stitch. Continue knitting in this manner, increasing 1 st on both sides of the cable in every right-side row 8 times. Then knit 6 rows straight, after which decrease 1 st on both sides of the cable in every right-side row 4 times. Afterward, place the outer 15 sts on each side on a spare needle and continue to knit only the middle 8 sts according to the pattern, knitting the last stitch of the row together with the first stitch from the spare needle at the end of every row. Continue in this manner until all stitches from the spare needles have been worked. Bind off the remaining stitches. Seam the detail and stuff with synthetic filler.
Snout: Cut out a circle of the desired size from cardboard. Then, with pink yarn, cast on 15 sts, knit 20 rows in stockinette stitch. Sew the detail along the edge and pull tight, placing the cardboard piece inside and stuffing with synthetic filler.
Ears: Each ear is made of two parts. With pink yarn, cast on 11 sts, knit 12 rows in stockinette stitch straight. Then decrease 1 st on each side in every row 4 times. Knit the second part similarly but with white yarn. Sew both parts together.
Assembly: Attach the ears and the snout to the head, the front legs, and the head to the body. Crochet the tail in the form of a chain of air loops, knit 1 row of single crochet. Attach beads for the eyes and nostrils.
