K Knit (number after it refers to how many stitches to knit)

P Purl (number after it refers to how many stitches to purl)

K2tog Knit next two stitches together (decreasing a stitch)

M1 Knit the next stitch twice so creating an additional stitch

Requirements:

3.75mm Needles

3mm crochet hook.

1 x 10g of double knitting yarn in yellow

1 x 10g of double knitting yarn in Black

Oddment of white (or very pale pink) double knitting yarn

Small amount of stuffing

Wool Needle

Spring Clip (Optional)

To Make Body (make 1):

Using 3.75mm needles and the yellow yarn cast on 3 stitches.

Row 1: Purl to end

Row 2: [M1] rpt to end of row (6sts)

Row 3: Purl to end

Row 4: [M1] rpt to end of row (12sts)

Row 5: Purl to end

Row 6: [K1,M1] rpt to end of row (18sts)

Row 7: Purl to end

Change to black yarn

Row 8: Knit to end

Row 9: Purl to end

Change to yellow yarn

Row 10: Knit to end

Row 11: Purl to end

Change to black yarn

Row 12: Knit to end

Row 13: Purl to end

Change to yellow yarn

Row 14: Knit to end

Row 15: Purl to end

Change to black yarn

Row 16: Knit to end

Row 17: Purl to end.

Break off black yarn and secure, continue with yellow yarn.

Row 18: K2, [K2tog ,K2] rpt to end (14 sts)

Row 19: Purl to end

Row 20: K2, [K2tog, K1] rpt to end (10sts)

Row 21: [K2tog] rpt to end (5sts)

Slip yarn through the remaining sts pull tightly and secure.

To Make Attachment strap (make 1):

Using yellow and the crochet hook make a chain of 40 sts.

To Make Wings (make 1):

Using white and the crochet hook make a chain of 30 sts.


To Make Up:

Sew in any unfinished ends of yarn. Turn inside out and join the seam down the length of the body leaving a gap at the tail end . Turn right side out and stuff. Embroider on facial features (seam goes on underside). Sew up remaining gap. Stitch the wings in a bow shape to top of the bee. Stitch the strap to the bees bottom including the spring clip if required..
