Machine wash cold

TENSION

12 sts and 26 rows over garter stitch using 6mm needles to make a 10cm or 4in square

(Make 2)

Note: break yarn when changing colour and weave in ends as you go.

Using Ocean Blue, cast on 29 sts leaving a long tail and knit one row.

Row 1 (RS): K1, m1, knit to last st, m1, k1. 31 sts

Row 2 (WS): Knit

Row 3: K1, m1, knit to last st, m1, k1. 33 sts

Row 4: Knit.

Row 5: K1, m1, k14, k3tog, k14, m1, k1.

Row 6: Knit.

Repeat rows 5 and 6 twice more. Change to Raspberry.

Row 11 (RS): K1, m1, k14, k3tog, k14, m1, k1.

Row 12 (WS): Knit.

Repeat rows 11 and 12 four times more. Change to Ocean Blue. Repeat rows 11 and 12 five times. Change to Raspberry. Repeat rows 11 and 12fourtimes. Repeat row 11 once more. Cast off knitwise on the WS, leaving a long tail.

MAKING UP

1 With right sides together and using the long tail from the cast on and cast off edges, sew together the two 'Vs' of the piece, using the image below as a guide.

2 Thread thin ribbon around the edge of the slipper, pull tight to desired size, then knot and finish with a bow.
