MATERIALS:
Sock yarn or other fingering yarn about 18 gm
US size 3 (3.25 mm) double point needles
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Royale size 3 crochet thread
2 Beads (or more) for drawstring
Size D (3.0 mm) crochet hook
DIRECTIONS:
Cast on 48. Place marker, join and arrange on 3 needles (18, 12, 18) being careful not to twist.
Round 1: P. (48 sts)
Round 2-3: *
Round 4: K. (48 sts)
Round 5: P. (48 sts)
Round 6-7: *
Rounds: 8-10: K. (48 sts)
Round 11:
Round 12: K. (48 sts)
Knit until bag measures 3 inches from cast on edge.
Next round: P. (48 sts)
Knit until bag measures 4 inches from cast on edge.
Next round: P. (48 sts)
Knit until bag measures 5 inches from cast on edge.
Next round: P. (48 sts)
Next 2 rounds: K. (48 sts)
Start bottom and decreases.
Dec round 1: * K4, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (40 sts)
Dec round 2: K. (40 sts)
Dec round 3: *K3, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (32 sts)
Dec round 4: K. (32 sts)
Dec round 5: *K2, K2tog. Repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Dec round 6: K. (24 sts)

Cut the yarn leaving a 6-7 inch tail. With the tapestry needle run the tail through the remaining 8 stitches twice. Pull tight.
Weave in ends.
DRAWSTRING:
With crochet thread and D hook, chain at least 12 inches, this is just a minimum length you can make it as long as you want.
Weave the cord in and out of the eyelet holes. String a bead on each tail and push up far enough to tie a knot near the end of the chain. Trim tail and bring bead down to knot.
