Dimensions: approximately 150 x 29 cm

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn (98% alpaca wool, 2% nylon; 100g/130m) - 2 skeins of lilac
  • Needles size 12

Seed Stitch Pattern:

  • Row 1: Slip 1 stitch knitwise, * knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat from * to *, end with slip 1 stitch knitwise.
  • Row 2 and all following rows: Slip 1 stitch knitwise, * knit the purl stitches and purl the knit stitches *, repeat from * to *, end with slip 1 stitch knitwise.

Relief Stripe: Knit according to the chart provided.

Gauge: 38 stitches = approximately 29 cm, knitted in seed stitch with relief stripe.

Instructions for Knitting the Women's Scarf-Cowl

1. Cast on 38 stitches on size 12 needles and start with a wrong side row, knit as follows:

  • Slip 1 stitch knitwise, 4 stitches in seed stitch, 12 stitches in relief stripe according to the chart, 4 stitches in seed stitch, 12 stitches in relief stripe according to the chart, 4 stitches in seed stitch, slip 1 stitch knitwise.

2. Continue knitting in this pattern until the piece measures approximately 150 cm from the starting row (complete the chart to the last row).

3. Bind off the stitches on a right side row.

4. Sew the short ends of the scarf together to form a loop.
