Instructions:

Size: 34/36

Materials Needed:

  • 150 g of gray yarn "Stellina Luxe" (50% silk, 41% cotton, 5% polyester, 4% polyamide; 110 m/25 g) from Lang Yarns
  • Knitting needles size 3.5 mm

Reverse Stockinette Stitch:

  • Knit rows – purl stitches
  • Purl rows – knit stitches

Stockinette Stitch:

  • Knit rows – knit stitches
  • Purl rows – purl stitches

Lace Pattern:

  • The initial number of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 3 + 2 edge stitches. Knit according to chart 1, which shows the knit rows. In purl rows, knit the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs, or as indicated. For the distribution of stitches in width, see the work description. In height, repeat rows 1 to 4 five times = 20 rows, then repeat rows 21 to 50 twice = 60 rows, finishing with rows 81 to 100.

Lace "Cable" on 7 Stitches:

  • Knit according to chart 2, which shows the knit rows. In purl rows, knit the stitches as they appear, or as indicated. Repeat rows 1 to 4 in height.

Central Pattern on 21 Stitches:

  • Knit according to chart 3, which shows the knit rows. In purl rows, knit the stitches as they appear, or as indicated. In width, start with stitches before the repeat, work the repeat (5 stitches) three times, and finish with stitches after the repeat. Repeat rows 1 to 4 in height.

Emphasized Decreases for Raglan Slopes:

  • At the beginning of the knit row: edge stitch, 6 stitches of the lace "cable," knit the last stitch of the lace "cable" together with the next stitch purlwise. At the end of the knit row: knit until the last 9 stitches, knit the first stitch of the lace "cable" together with the previous stitch purlwise, the remaining 6 stitches of the lace "cable," edge stitch.
  • At the beginning of the purl row: edge stitch, 6 stitches of the lace "cable," knit the last stitch of the lace "cable" together with the next stitch with a leftward slant (slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit the next stitch, and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch). At the end of the purl row: knit until the last 9 stitches, knit the first stitch of the lace "cable" together with the previous stitch knitwise, the remaining 6 stitches of the lace "cable," edge stitch.

Knitting Gauge:

  • Lace pattern with reverse stockinette stitch: 29 stitches and 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm
  • Stockinette stitch: 26 stitches and 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm
  • "Cable": 7 stitches = 2 cm
  • Central pattern: 21 stitches = 6 cm

Back:

  • Cast on 107 stitches and distribute the stitches for the patterns as follows: edge stitch, 2 stitches of reverse stockinette stitch, 101 stitches of lace pattern (starting with stitches before the repeat, work the repeat 6 times, end with stitches after the repeat), 2 stitches of reverse stockinette stitch, edge stitch.
  • After 12.5 cm = 50 rows from the initial row, increase 1 stitch on each side for side slopes, then increase 1 stitch every 6th row 5 more times, knitting the first 5 increased stitches in reverse stockinette stitch and the last increased stitch in stockinette stitch = 119 stitches.
  • After 20 cm = 80 rows from the initial row, expand the lace pattern on both sides by 5 stitches, knitting the remaining stitches before/after the edge stitch in stockinette stitch.
  • After 25 cm = 100 rows from the initial row, continue working all stitches in stockinette stitch. The expansion of the piece occurs due to the different densities of the patterns, represented as slopes on the pattern diagram.
  • After 4.5 cm = 16 rows from the pattern change, continue as follows: edge stitch, 7 stitches of lace "cable," 103 stitches of stockinette stitch, 7 stitches of lace "cable," edge stitch.
  • For raglan slopes, decrease 1 stitch on each side in the 1st row, then perform emphasized decreases (see Emphasized Decreases) 23 times in every row = 71 stitches, then decrease 1 stitch in every knit row 4 more times = 63 stitches.
  • After 13.5 cm = 48 rows from the pattern change, work only the first 9 stitches of the lace "cable" for the strap, continuing between edge stitches.
  • After 6.5 cm = 24 rows from the start of the strap, bind off stitches. Include the remaining 54 stitches in work and bind off the next 45 stitches for the neckline.
  • Work the second strap on the remaining 9 stitches as described.

Front:

  • Cast on 103 stitches and distribute the stitches for the patterns as follows: edge stitch, 2 stitches of reverse stockinette stitch, 38 stitches of lace pattern (starting with 7 stitches before the repeat, work the repeat 2 times, end with the first 3 stitches after the repeat), 21 stitches of central pattern, 38 stitches of lace pattern (work the repeat 2 times, end with 10 stitches after the repeat), 2 stitches of reverse stockinette stitch, edge stitch.
  • Perform increases and expand the lace pattern on both sides as described for the back = 115 stitches.
  • After 25 cm = 100 rows from the initial row, continue working the outer 47 stitches on each side in stockinette stitch, continuing the central pattern.
  • After 4.5 cm = 16 rows from the pattern change, work the upper part as follows: edge stitch, 7 stitches of lace "cable," 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 21 stitches of central pattern, 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 7 stitches of lace "cable," edge stitch.
  • For raglan slopes, perform emphasized decreases (see Emphasized Decreases) on each side in the 1st row, and knit the 3rd and 4th stitches, as well as the 18th and 19th stitches of the central pattern together purlwise.
  • Continue knitting the remaining 19 stitches of the central pattern.
  • In purl rows, do not perform decreases. Continue raglan and neckline decreases as follows: perform raglan decreases on both sides as emphasized decreases.
  • For neckline decreases, in knit rows, knit the last 2 stitches of the stockinette stitch before the central pattern together knitwise, and the first 2 stitches of the stockinette stitch after the central pattern together with a leftward slant (slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit the next stitch, and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch). In purl rows, knit the last 2 stitches of the stockinette stitch before the central pattern together purlwise through the back loop, and the first 2 stitches of the stockinette stitch after the central pattern together purlwise.
  • In the next knit row (= 19th row from the pattern change), begin neckline decreases and continue in the next purl row as well. Bind off the central stitch in the same purl row to form the neckline and finish both sides separately.
  • Perform decreases 3 more times in every row, knit 1 row without decreases, then perform decreases 5 times in every row, knit 1 row without decreases, repeat from * once more, and perform decreases 4 more times in every row. For the last neckline decrease, knit the first (or last) stitch of the central pattern and the adjacent stitch together knitwise = all stockinette stitches used.
  • After 11 cm = 40 rows from the pattern change, 1 decrease in the central pattern + 19 neckline decreases and 20 raglan decreases = 17 stitches remain.
  • For continued raglan slope, decrease 1 stitch in every row 8 more times (see Emphasized Decreases), using all the central pattern stitches to the edge stitch. After 13.5 cm = 48 rows from the pattern change, 9 stitches remain on each side (= 7 stitches of lace "cable" + 2 edge stitches).
  • Knit the straps on these 9 stitches as for the back.

Assembly:

  • Sew the strap and side seams.
  • Crochet the neckline edge, inner strap edges, armhole edges, and outer strap edges with one round of single crochet stitches.
